Afterschool Performing Arts Club
Our club is designed to work towards a little showcase at the end of term where the parents/teachers can watch what the children have been working on.
For Primary Schools - Each lesson will end with a “Performer of the week” sticker and every child will be carefully monitored to track progress.
Additional support will be provided where needed.
Each term will be based on a different theme/musical and end with an awards ceremony.
All of our classes are run by industry professionals who are DBS checked.
PPA Programme
Our PPA programme offers all 3 components of Performing Arts (Singing, Acting and Dancing). We approach our sessions in a fun environment where the children are actively learning without realising.
Drama: Focusing on different themes each week, the children will learn an array of drama games that will broaden their understanding in all areas of drama. For example: Improvisation, Team Work, Mime and Character.
Dance: The students will also be taught choreography by the teacher and will have a chance to offer their ideas on movement. This will help improve their coordination, muscle memory and choreography skills.
Singing: The teacher will help the children understand pitching/tuning and how to place notes by using correct breathing methods. Using our wide range of singing warm ups this will help the students with their scales, rhythm and listening skills.
At the end of the programme the students will be able to identify all 3 areas and will perform a Musical Theatre piece of the teacher’s choice without guidance.
